Can you tell me more about it?

Cathedral worship is different from parish worship, and rightly so.Kathryn Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05829669522063886278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1806908830146896080.post-61595852165141246752011-04-22T12:23:35.176+01:002011-04-22T12:23:35.176+01:00I attended the Chrism Mass at Canterbury Cathedral...I attended the Chrism Mass at Canterbury Cathedral.

It was a Common Worship service, but we sang the responses. No Choir, just the several hundred clergy and laity, singing together.

The communion hym was Soul of My Savior. A hymn well remembered from my Catholic youth, and sung really well by all. Later, a Priest who I had lunch with, said that he did not know it, but really enjoyed singing it.

Cathedral worship is so different from normal parish. I have been attending Evensong during Lent, sung, responsorial psalmody is the norm at their evensong, and just letting it flow over and through you is a unique experience.UKViewerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18114944341930758335noreply@blogger.com
